What is Service Learning?

Developing a Heartful Interior

Service learning is a teaching method that enriches learning by engaging students in meaningful service with their learning institutions and communities.  Through the understanding of universal human values, young people apply academic skills to solving real-world issues, linking established learning objectives with genuine needs.  They lead the process, with adults as partners, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to concerns such as hunger, diversity and environmental concerns.

A Belief System of "Global Community"

Life's journey is different for everyone, developing self-value and global awareness of the interrelationships of all things through human values, Scott Helping Children Foundation is humbled to work in Partnership with the Institute of Sathya Sai Education - USA to promote higher enrichment within and lifelong learning beyond the classroom.
